Dry Ice Training - Online Course Information
Tuition: $195 per seat (multiple seat discounts available)

Materials: None
Training valid for: 24 months for ICAO and three years for U.S. Department of Transportation

Who should take this course? Companies who need to meet the General Awareness, Safety and Function Specific Training requirements of the DOT and IATA and ONLY ship items classified as Dry Ice” either under DOT or IATA/ICAO
Warehouse workers who package shipments and mark and label boxes
Shipping personnel who complete and sign the shipping papers
Truck drivers who only handle dry ice
Management personnel responsible determining compliance
Anyone else who meets the definition of a “hazmat employee” and who needs training ONLY because they are shipping dry ice.
Scope of this course: Covers shippers’ requirements for preparing a shipment of dry ice.
Are any additional training courses required?
Hazmat Security Awareness Training (SAT)- In the United States this additional training is required. DGI offers free SAT on our website www.dgitraining.com.
Function Specific Training - If you ship anything other than dry ice you will need additional training. Ultimately (in the United States) your employer has final responsibility for determining if a hazmat employee is properly trained for their particular job function. Since there is a potential for limitless types of job functions as determined by an individual employer, we as your training provider can only suggest what types of additional training might be required.
For the best Online Training experience:
Able to work independently without an instructor present.
Familiar with the use of a computer and common software.
Knowledge or understanding of the applicable regulations.
Fluent in the English language.
It is recommended you use Internet Explorer.
High-speed connection is recommended, but not required.
You can log in and out of the training program at any time, and as often as you wish (except during the exam where you must complete the course in one sitting) Logging out during the exam will lock you out of the program and the entire exam must be taken again.
Log out if you must leave your desk. The program may lock up if your computer is left idle for more than 10 minutes.
Ensure sound is turned on and the volume is up as these courses have audio files.
