Train-The-Trainer 4-Day Seminar Syllabus

 

4-Day Train-the-Trainer Workshop assists persons who are responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training in the transport of Dangerous Goods. Topics include:

  • how to conduct a training needs analysis
  • the role of instructional strategies
  • development of learning objectives
  • how to develop a lesson plan
  • the classroom training environment
  • preparation of simple visual aides such as flip charts and overheads
  • use of various instructional methods and media which are appropriate to adult learners
  • techniques for evaluation and testing
  • answering questions effectively

Students are required to develop and present a training objective which will be video taped for feedback within the group. Students must also give the group an exam to test effectiveness of presentation and understanding.

All classroom exercises are based on hazmat concepts relating to the offering and accepting for transport of a regulated material.

Students must have current certification for IATA, 49 CFR or IMDG. THIS IS NOT A HAZMAT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. Students are required to bring a copy of the IATA, 49 CFR or IMDG regulations to develop their presentation.

Seminar Hours: Sign-in begins at 8:00 a.m. Classroom instruction is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

Tuition includes: classroom workbook and daily lunch. (Tuition does not include hotel accommodations.)
